Help Nellie Stay on Her Feet

My daughter, Janell, has had a brutally hard year — and she’s fought through all of it with quiet grit and zero complaints.

In June, she spent 12 days in the hospital, then worked nonstop to catch up on rent.

In August, a missed speeding ticket caused Lyft, Uber, and Hop Skip Drive to deactivate her all at once. After two court dates and three weeks without income, she managed to get reinstated — literally one day before eviction.

Now she’s been hit with a severe case of COVID, the kind that causes intense back pain and keeps her from working for at least two weeks. With rideshare income, no work means no pay, and she’s at risk all over again and is in immediate need.

I’m asking for help because I’ve watched her show up every single day, working 10–12 hour shifts, doing everything right, and still getting knocked down by things outside her control.

She just needs a little breathing room — rent, utilities, and basic expenses — until she’s well enough to drive again.
