Hi, my name is Taylor , and I’m currently fostering a 10 year old French Bulldog named Nellie through rescue.

Nellie came into care in heartbreaking condition. She has an enlarged heart, fluid in her abdomen, a severe skin infection, and clear signs of long-term medical neglect. Despite everything her little body has been through, she is incredibly gentle, loving, and just wants to feel safe.

After initial exams and lab work, it’s clear that Nellie has a long road ahead of her. She is currently being treated for a painful skin infection with antibiotics and medicated care, but her biggest concern is her heart.

Nellie is scheduled to see a cardiologist on Wednesday, April 8th, where we will finally get a full understanding of her heart condition and what treatment plan she needs moving forward. This appointment is critical in determining her prognosis and giving her the best chance at a comfortable, stable life.

At this time, we are preparing for ongoing medical expenses including specialist care, diagnostics, medications, and continued treatment for her skin and overall health.

Even through everything, Nellie continues to show so much resilience. She curls up close, falls asleep peacefully, and trusts again which is something she likely hasn’t felt in a long time. She deserves the opportunity to heal and experience love and comfort for however long she has.
