Lewis and  Nell are two incredible people.  Lewis an accomplished musician who's toured the world playing for people, and Nell who worked for small businesses  offering customer service  and support to so many. They are the kind of people who make friends easily, share what they have and are ready to help anyone in need. This past year has been difficult for most of the world, but for them it's been overwhelming. Both Nell and Lewis contracted Covid-19 and as we know if you have any underlying conditions, it is potentially dangerous. They both have a number of health issues that they had been managing, but Covid-19 nearly killed them.  Both survived, but returning to their regular routines was not easy. Nell took a fall ( related to her underlying Meniere's disease) and nearly died. She suffered a cracked vertebrae in her neck and was hospitalized for some time and in rehabilitation as well. This has had a devastating effect on their health, quality of life, ability to work and maintain daily routines. It is difficult to describe the toll it has taken on them physically, mentally and spiritually.  In the past few months they have found themselves at the mercy of others - for help with basic needs in life - food, housing, daily hygiene and the human things - like conversation, prayer, music and friendship.  Here is what they need help with right now:

1. Help to rehab their condo so they can sell and move into a safe place that is one story , handicap assessible. New interior paint, new        flooring, wooden stairs, and various plumbing fixes and light fixtures.
2.  Temporary personal storage.
3.  Moving costs in order to get into  a safe one story ground level wheel chair accessible well kept living dwelling

Lewis and Nell are on a fixed income so any help with these things is welcome too.
1. Medial assistance equipment for balance such as canes, walker, wheel chair
2. sturdy furniture/furnishings, and appliances for new living area

Getting Lewis and Nell healthy and settled in the next month is the goal. They are staying positive, hopeful and grateful as we work toward solutions to make their lives better.
