Neko is my 9-year-old chihuahua mix, and he means the world to me. He was a gift from my dad just a few months before my dad passed away, and since then, Neko has been by my side through some of the most difficult moments in my life. He’s not just a pet—he’s my emotional support and my family. Five years ago, Neko was diagnosed with Addison’s disease, and we’ve managed his condition together ever since.
Yesterday, Neko suffered an Addisonian crisis. He was in critical condition and nearly died. I rushed him to the emergency veterinary hospital, and right now, the doctors are doing everything they can to save his life. He had to spend the night at the hospital, and while he is slowly showing improvement, the costs of his care are quickly adding up. I want to do everything I can to keep him alive, but I won’t be able to pay for his treatment if he needs to stay hospitalized for more days.
Neko will always be the puppy my dad gave me, and he has given me so much love and support. On the way to the hospital, I asked him to fight and be strong for me—and he did. Now, I am asking for help from anyone who can and is willing to support Neko’s fight. Your financial support will go directly toward his vet bills and the medication he needs to manage his disease. I would be forever and immensely grateful for any kindness and generosity that helps Neko pull through this difficult time.
