Help Neil Recover Without Financial Stress

Hello everyone. Most of you don’t know, but my brother, Neil, had a heart attack the morning of Monday, March 10th. Instead of calling 911, he reached out to me, and thank God for my medical knowledge, I knew what he was describing, and I advised him to immediately go to the ER, which he did. They immediately took him back into surgery for heart catheterization, and he now has a stent in one artery. Thank God, he will be okay and is at home recovering and resting. He will now do cardiac rehab for a few weeks.

Obviously, this has put him out of work for a while, and unfortunately, it wasn’t until this happened that he discovered he does not have short-term disability insurance to cover his monthly bills and expenses while he’s out of work. This caused him to have anxiety and I told him, DO NOT STRESS. He is too embarrassed and humble to reach out for help, so, being the family caretaker that I am, I have decided to reach out for help for him. He does not have any savings and has used the very few PTO hours he had. He needs to be able to stay afloat on his rent, car insurance, health insurance premiums, and utilities while he’s out of work. This is a temporary situation and I told him I would do my best to help him.
