Help Nehemiah Honor His Mother Shemika

Donation protected
On June 17, 2025, my coworker Nehemiah Taylor lost his lovely mother, which was a traumatic event.

On what appeared to be a typical Monday morning at Sherwin-Williams, our store received the heartbreaking news an hour into my shift that our friend had discovered his mother was experiencing difficulties and would not be able to come to work. Our store manager, Sheryl Davis, suggested that we check on him because we were aware of his mother's health issues. I arrived at his house to give him a hug. He was a big, but fearful young man who you couldn’t imagine ever seeing cry, but I could feel all of his problems and sorrows pressing down on me at that precise moment.

In summary, without getting too personal or in-depth, I have observed Nehemiah's persistent drive to work hard in the month I have known him. Whether that means working two or three jobs at once or perhaps launching his own small business. Although he will tell you up front that he was doing it all for the money, on the inside he was attempting to do all he could to support his mother. Our store knew it was just Nehemiah and his mother against the world since he always spoke so highly of her and continues to do so.

Not much is being asked of us. We appreciate donations, but for our dear friend Nehemiah Taylor and his mother Shemika Nicole Taylor, a prayer will suffice.
