About Neema
Neema Neema comes from a very poor family in central Kenya. Her mother died when she was young and this circumstance forced her and her brother to be taken to a childrens home when she was only 12 years old. Due to unfortunate circumstances she became a victim of defilement hence the teenage pregnancy and had to drop out of school in Standard 7 (after seven years of School). She was rescued by the staff of Agatha Amani House. In the safe shelter she gave birth to a healthy baby girl. While staying in the shelter she improved her cooking skills and therefore wants to work in the Food and Catering Industry in the future. The School will provide her the opportunity to venture in this career. Because of security reasons we are not showing her face on the pictures.
School
She has been admitted to a Vocational Training Center to study Food and Beverage studies. After graduation, she will not only have her first certificate, but also be able to work in the Catering Industry (get employed or even start her own business). This will allow her to become independent. Note: She already got a scholarship which provides the school fees but not the living expenses.
