Help me help my only sister live!

On Mothers Day 2016, Bonita Elaine, my big sister, my only sister, went to the ER for a pain in her back.

SURPRISE!!  It wasn't a back muscle strain like she thought but pancreatic cancer instead.   She lives a very healthy lifestyle so were all in shock....but we knew something needed to be done.  And soon!!

Bonita was immediately admitted to the hospital for five days while they ran tests and came up with a treatment plan. 

Surgery to remove the tumor will be difficult because the tumor is wrapped around and through a bundle of blood vessels.  Chemo, radiation and surgery (the proposed treatment plan) have a dismal success rate.  There has to be a better answer!

We are researching clinical trials and proven alternative therapies, such as the NanoKnife, which uses electric current to destroy the cancer cells.

Bonita had to leave her job and has no income. Her savings have been depleted by medicines (one that cost $500 a month!) and other medical expenses. The insurance policy she has is not ACA compliant and it doesn't appear that they are going to pay any of her bills!!

Now, in addition to fighting for her life, she's worrying about a way to pay for prescriptions and mounting medical bills.
CANCER IS A VERY EXPENSIVE DISEASE TO FIGHT!

Her life is what matters most and time is of the essence!!
She is 5'8" and down to under 100 lbs.  Currently she is managing the pain, eating a healthy diet and waiting.

She is more than my Sister...she is a Daughter to our 87 year Mother, a Godmother, Stepmother, Grandmother, Kuku Wahine, Aunt, Sister in law, and a trusted and loyal friend.

She is loved by all who know her and is always there with a kind word or solid advice for others in need. She has so much more life to live....so much more to give! She is ONLY 59 years old.

She has lived alone since her husband died in 2013. He was ONLY 55 and the shock of his passing has barely begun to wear off.  She thought she was going to die from a broken heart....never from a broken pancreas.

She is bravest person I know and she believes in the eternalness of everything.
