Hi, friends. I’m creating this fundraiser for my wife and I during a really difficult season in our lives.

Recently, our car was repossessed, which has made it extremely hard for us to get to work and keep up with daily responsibilities. At the same time, we’ve been struggling to stay afloat with basic bills, and we are now at serious risk of losing our apartment.

We’ve been doing everything we can to catch up, but the setbacks have piled up faster than we can recover on our own. Asking for help is not easy for us, but we’ve reached a point where we truly need support to get back on our feet.

I lost my job in may and ended up needing to go inpatient in a psych facility for a suicide attempt. The day I was released I was informed that my mother had passed while I was in the hospital. Lisa lost one of her close friends to suicide in march. She also lost her job in June.

Lisa has been trying to get a better paying position in healthcare, but is currently stuck due to our financial situation . She has completed an EMT course, but has been unable to obtain her license as we cannot afford the cost of the test.

We have been struggling with grief, mental, and physical health issues. My chronic autoimmune illnesses have been worse than they ever have been. As a result, I have been struggling greatly to work full time hours. This has put a great deal of stress and pressure on my wife causing more mental and physical stress on her. I have been trying to get treatment for them, but had to put a full stop on everything because I could no longer afford my health insurance.

We have done many job applications as well at interviews, but the job market is terrible right now. We are really struggling, and very afraid of losing our home.
