Help Needed Paying Poepy’s Vet Bills

Donation protected
As many of you know, my sweet boy Poe passed away on September 21st. He fought aspiration pneumonia since April 20th, and I guess his little body had just grown too tired and needed to rest. I will tell you about Poe, and then I’ll explain why I’m asking for help.

The first time I saw a picture of Poe, my heart melted. I went to a Colorado Pug Rescue Valentine's Day event, and that's the day I met him. Poe jumped up on my lap and sat facing forward; I thought he was nervous, but it turns out that's just how he sat on people's laps.

Since I had been volunteering for the rescue for some time, Poe's foster mom was kind enough to bring him over to my house after the event to see how he and Sully would interact, as well as to see how he'd do with Olive and Tovah, as Poe spent the first five years of his life without cats.

Sully took to him immediately, and they did zoomies around the house. Tovah woke up from her nap, looked at Poe, then went back to sleep, as if to say, "Oh. Another dog. That's fine." Olive jumped up on the couch and rubbed her head against Poe's head; Poe looked confused, but he wasn't upset. I thought I waited weeks to be approved for the adoption, but Poe's foster mom reminded me it only took four days. :)

Poe was my own version of Ferdinand the bull, taking in life peacefully and (mostly) quietly, enjoying the softest blankets, the most delicious treats, the comfort of snuggling with Sully, and the fierce grooming of Phoebe. He was the sweetest soul, and I miss him more than I can explain.

From April - September, between what I paid out of pocket and what is on credit cards, Poe’s vet bills were almost $3,000. Currently, I have $2,054 left to pay off.

I hate asking for help, and my pug mom friend Tiffany reminded me just now that I told her to ask for help when her sweet Finley’s vet bills were climbing, so it’s ok for me to ask for help, too.

Below are screenshots of the financed vet charges I have left to pay (minus one for $47), as well as more pictures of Poepy.
