I’m facing an incredibly difficult and painful situation. My doctor recently informed me that I can no longer take the medication that prevents constant bleeding. Now, I’ve been told by the hospital that unless you can come up with at least $2,380 of the $7000 by Wednesday, my surgery (hysterectomy) will be canceled. I will be out of my current medication by this coming Monday 7/21 and my doctor won’t extend the prescription due to the risk of blood clots; leaving me to deal with bleeding I cannot stop. I am a teacher and mother of two with insurance -but it leaves me with a high balance to pay. Without the medication or surgery, there is a risk of bleeding that could lead to death. I wouldn’t ask if there wasn’t a need. Anything you can do will be greatly appreciated.
