We, Brenda Poling and Kelly McDaniel, the owners of Twisted Bee Studio located in Philippi, WV, are reaching out and asking for help. We never ask for help, but this time we could really use it.

We are just a small, woman owned business in a quiet little town, providing the community a unique place to come in to paint ceramics, create wooden projects and to shop from our talented artisans and crafters.

Our store was recently the victim of flooding due to a main city water line break directly in front of our door on June 17th, 2025. Our store was flooded from the front door clear to the back door with an inch of water throughout, with one other area having two inches of water. Unfortunately for us, our store was the only building affected.

We’ve lost some of our store displays and inventory as well as loss of revenue. We are uncertain how long we will be closed due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. Meanwhile, the monthly bills still come and pile up.

We just want to try to keep our heads above water through this nightmare and not sink any more than we already are. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
