My name is Jesse Thomason, thank you for opening my gofundme!! I'm crying writing this, as I've been on my own since I was 18 and have tried my hardest to never ask anyone for anything while giving away all that I could to those who I know needed it more. But my life has changed drastically and now I need your help!!! On December 23rd 2023, my mother and I were hit head on in a terrible automobile accident that was not our fault. A man swerved into our lane and hit us head on. She was driving. I was the passenger. Airbags deployed. She was knocked unconscious. We were tossed 3 lanes. She went to the ER via Ambulance. She too is still recovering from issues. Then another accident 3 months later. Not our fault. 3 cars piled into us. Ours totaled. Again. Then 4 months later. 3rd vehicle. I the passenger For the 3rd time. ANOTHER 3 cars all rear ended eachother into us. 3rd Car Totaled. The last 23months I have been in agony around the clock with 3 fractures and a 9mm shift at my L5-S1. I've had MRIs. Nerve Testing. X-Rays. CT Scans. More MRIs!! More Nerve Testing. More Appointments. They just keep dragging me through the mud!! In order to move forward with my life, I need a Spinal Fusion. Surgery will be covered by medicaid. Recovery could be anywhere from 3-12 Months. Average 6 If everything goes well/normal. It has been a nightmare dealing with the medical system and insurances in regards to getting compensation for back pay or disability for future issues that may arise. I am in constant pain from my neck down through my lower back and legs. I average 2-3hrs of on and off sleep. Up and out of bed 10x times a night. Issues with my bowels and numbness in my appendages. My landlord has been extremely patient and understanding. I have pushed on for the last 23months and scraped together all that I could to keep going and can no longer take on work due to the severity of the constant pain and lack of adequate sleep to function. If we continue to prolong the surgery, further irreparable damage could result well beyond the level and pain I'm currently enduring! I'm also willing to work off your donation by doing any projects you may have after I'm all healed! It's an investment in future quality work!!
