Help Needed For Seminary

Donation protected
Hello all!

I want to introduce this young lady, who is one of the most amazing people I know!  Zemira Gonzalez, not only works hard in school taking pride in all she does and representing a wonderful bat Israel, but also helps out her single mother with her family owned small business.

Zemira is graduating from Shearim High school in a few weeks and really wants to attend seminary,  we all know how important seminary is. However her family cannot afford to send her to Israel.  With business closing down  during this difficult time it has really effected her moms business and even after getting some of the tuition covered with scholarships she nor her mother are able to pay the difference.

She not only needs the rest of the tuition but the cost to get there, and other expenses.

We are asking you to give tzedakah, and  b'ezrat Hashem help send Zemira to Israel to spend the next year in Seminary.

Thank you so very much!!

******************************Letter from Zemira ************************************

My name is Zemira Gonzalez and I am 18 years old. I have lived in Arizona my whole life. I have two siblings, a younger brother and sister. I have dedicated my life to Torah. I am responsible, open minded, and caring. I am a charismatic person and very optimistic. I am a critical thinker. I enjoy asking questions and learning new things.

I first heard of seminary my freshman year in Shearim Torah High School for Girls. I didn’t go to Jewish school my whole life because I am a Ger. I grew up believing I was Jewish but wasn’t religious. When my family and I decided to become more frum and go to a Jewish day school, we were asked if we had proof, such as a ketubah or a brit milah certificate. We were in shock hearing this question because we had no idea. We began to check our family history and we could not find any definite evidence that we were Jewish. Therefore, my family and I went through a conversion. My conversion was supervised by Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Haim, the Av Beit Din of Mekor Haim in Queens, New York. Rabbi Ben Haim studied in the Yeshiva Porat Yosef. Rabbi Benyamin Golan assisted with the Beit Din. I converted in 10th grade and it was the most uplifting experience of my life.

Undergoing my conversion gave me an opportunity to prove to G-d that I want to be part of His nation. It strengthened my Hashkafa and established a strong foundation in Yiddishkeit. When I heard of seminary, I instantly fell in love with the idea.

Seminary provides an amazing opportunity for girls who want to grow in Torah and become closer to Hashem. Having a year to fully dedicate yourself to Torah can change a person. It will help build an even stronger foundation and become a true Bat Yisrael. I am willing to learn, grow, and listen to my teachers and to the words of Hashem. My goal is to achieve my true potential and find myself. I want to be surrounded by the Kedusha of Israel and be around other Seminary provides an amazing opportunity for girls who want to grow in Torah and become closer to Hashem. Whatever you can give is truly appreciated. And soon, with your help and Hashem's permission, you will help me succeed to reach Eretz Israel. Thank you very much! --- Zemira Gonzalez
