Help needed for Sam's Recovery

Hello, my name is Dawn Marie Smith and I am writing to you today to tell you about an amazing family that have been a part of my life for many years. Even though we are not related by blood, we are “Family”. Janel and Brian Whitlatch have 10 beautiful children. On October 23, 2022, their son Sam was involved in an ATV accident and suffered a spinal cord injury at level T12. His world was turned upside down and his life changed forever. The road to recovery has been an emotional roller coaster for Sam and his family.

After spending 18 days in the ICU at Mercy Hospital, Sam was transferred to Craig Hospital in Colorado, one of the best hospitals for spinal cord injury treatment. He and his family have relocated to Colorado to support him during his recovery. While Sam has come a long way, he still has a long way to go. His therapy and recovery require a lot of out of pocket expenses that are adding up quickly.

Sam is a fighter, and he is determined to make a full recovery. He has a positive attitude and is working hard every day to regain his independence. However, he cannot do it alone. He needs your help to cover the costs of his therapy, medical bills, and the accessible items he needs for his home and vehicle.
