Help for Medical Equipment & Palliative care for Anna
Donation protected
Anna is not only my friend, but a dear friend to many of the Bribie Island community.
Anna is a 48 year old Solo Mum and resident of Bribie Island. Her daughter "L" has very complex medical needs, which requires around the clock care, frequent hospital visits and most of all, needs her mum.
You may know Anna from her small business on Bribie Island "Little Sensory Shed" or from her work she does for the MyTime Group for Carers at the Freedom Church, you may even know her mum Cathy (Anna and L's only family in Australia) as she does lots of community and charity work on the Island.
Unfortunately, Anna has just been given a shock diagnosis of HER2 positive matistic breast cancer. She has been told the cancer is terminal and has advanced to her hips, spine, lumber, breast and lungs. She has been offered palliative life-extending chemo only.
Anna has declined quite rapidly and is in need of many of supports and aids and the financial burden of the diagnosis is already a huge additional stress.
Please note if you do see Anna about to not mention her diagnosis in front of her daughter, or to say anything that could be felt as negative in this situation, Anna is on a journey of hope and only wants positive support and stories that bring her hope and faith that she can buy more time with her daughter.
Funds will be used for:
- Electric Bed with Lift
- Commode
- Rails
- Alternative pain treatments
- Alternative therapies
- Fuel & Parking for frequent hospital visits
- Medicine and any other medical products and equipment
- Home services (meal deliveries, cleaning, assistance)
If you are unable to donate even just $5 , but you can offer assistance or help in another way, please reach out to Anna, Cathy or Myself (Nik).
Anna loves her community and would do the same for anyone here. Let's show as much support as possible.
