On November 26, 2023, our son, Mariano Centeno became a victim of gun violence while walking his dog Kane. He survived, but he sustained several gunshots to his chest, arms, and abdomen. Mariano spent over a month in the hospital and had a total of 8 surgeries. His medical bills have reached an upwards of $1,000,000. While insurance helps, he still has many day to day expenses. At this time, his wife Erika is his primary caregiver and neither of them are able to work during his recovery.

Help is needed to cover physical therapy, medical supplies, cost of living, and additional surgeries. Mariano has come a long way but he still has an even longer road to a full recovery.
