I am creating this GoFundMe for my younger sister Katie in hopes to alleviate any financial stress during this extremely difficult time. On Tuesday August 24th, Katie's fiance and love of her life, Jason, collapsed at home. To keep this brief and maintain privacy for their family, Jay had undiagnosed hypertension (high blood pressure) which led to a stroke and seizures. He is currently on life support fighting for his life. His prognosis at this time is very poor and his 6 beloved children (and 1 on the way) anxiously await a miracle. We ask for any help during this time. Any possible outcome will require a long and very hard road for this family. Update: Jay's kidneys aren't doing what they're supposed to. At this time he was put on medication to try to correct this with small strides. He has a scan at 9am today to reveal brain perfusion. Katie has also gotten his toes to wiggle when she brushes the bottom of his feet! Labwork today shows excellent blood gases. Prayers needed during this waiting period.
Update: Thursday Aug 26th, doctors stated Jason Wolford showed zero brain activity. He will go on to live through others, giving the ultimate gift of organ donation.
