Help Needed for Family Battling Alzheimer’s & Home Crisis

Donation protected
Hi everyone,

I’m reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your help on behalf of my best friend, Emily, and her family. They’re currently facing one of the hardest seasons of their lives as they pour every ounce of love, energy, and resources into caring for her mother, who has been living with Alzheimer’s for over 10 years — and whose condition has recently worsened significantly.

Emily, and her husband , Justin, have moved into her parents’ home to help care for her mom full-time. As you can imagine, this level of care is demanding and exhausting, and it’s only become more complicated by mounting medical bills, emergency room visits, and now a shocking new discovery: black mold in their home, which poses serious health risks and will cost thousands of dollars to safely remove.

Her dad, a devoted husband and father, is still carrying the burden of medical debt from previous hospital stays, and now faces even more expenses to make the house safe for everyone living there.

They are some of the kindest, most generous souls I know — always the first to help others and never the ones to ask for help themselves. But right now, they need us.

To know my best friend is to love her. She’s the type of person who shows up, lifts you up, and somehow makes life feel a little lighter just by being in it. I’ve seen her impact so many lives with her compassion and JOY. Now, it’s our turn to give back.

If you’re able to donate, even a little, it will make a huge difference in helping them manage the costs of medical care, mold remediation, and day-to-day support as they navigate this incredibly difficult chapter. And if you can’t give right now, please consider sharing this page — that support means more than you know.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for reading this and for caring.

With love and gratitude,
Kayla
