Help needed for my family

Hey everyone,

My name is Nicholas, and I am a high school teacher and wrestling coach. I am looking to raise $10,000 to help me pay for lost wages and rising medical expenses for my family and myself.

To say that I have had a lot of changes in my life in the past few months would be an understatement. We had recently received custody of a toddler, Rusty. He came into our life in November of last year and is truly a great kid who just happened to turn 2 this past April. This boy has touched our lives in more ways than one. And when I say that this boy can eat, he can eat! We received a baby, and we get to see just how much of a young man he is developing into.

If that was it, I believe that we would be doing just fine, but during spring break this year, I had my yearly back problems that have seemed to occur almost sooner each year. I have had problems with sciatica for years, but now it had seemed that those problems had finally caught up with me. I was experiencing the worst pain in my life, and I thought it was never going to end. As I was getting ready for a shower to ease my back it hit me, I was instantly paralyzed from the waist down. I had to have an emergency discectomy since I was diagnosed with Acute Cauda Equina Syndrome. I had 1 agitated disk and 2 full blown disks in my back, and they were pinching my nerves and spinal cord. I am currently on the road to recovery, and although I am moving quite well through my recovery, I still cannot walk on my own.

The struggles of being paralyzed has been hard, but while I was recovering, I also lost my dog due to health problems as well. Losing a family member, and my ability to work, walk, and drive…my family has taken quite the hit over the past couple months.

I’m writing to ask you to support me and my rehabilitation, while also helping my family through this struggling time. Just a small donation or sharing this with others, via social media, places of worship, etc., would help.
