Help Needed: Excessive Flood Damage

Flooding causes evacuation of homes along Sauquoit Creek
Following severe flooding in our basement on Saturday, July 1, my mother's home has suffered excessive water damage and is in desperate need of repair. Regretfully, our standard house insurance does not cover flood damage, and while the flooding has impacted hundreds of homes in Central NY, Governor Cuomo has not declared the flooding as a disaster. Consequently, we do not qualify for any disaster relief funding. The estimated cost of repair is far beyond what we can afford, and so I am asking friends and family members to help so that we can get our utilities back on and move back into our home.
The estimated costs (as of 7/06/17) are as follows:
Initial inspection - $100
Oil tank removal - $800
Installation of hot water tank & natural gas boiler - $4,000
Installation of electric service and grounding - $3,000
Foundation repair - $11,000
New appliances - $1,000
Final Inspection - $100
TOTAL ESTIMATED COST: $20,000
My mother is an extremely hard worker and has always been the type to put the needs of others before herself. For this reason, it's often been difficult for my mother to ask for help, even when she needs it most. I would love to be able to meet this goal for my mother, but truthfully any amount that you can donate would be appreciated immensely as every bit helps. I'm also asking that people share this page to help reach as many people as possible.
Thank you!
