Deondre James as we know as Dre or DJ, needs our help. Deondre has quietly been dealing with health challenges over the last 15 years dealing with advanced Kidney disease. After 7 years on dialysis, he was finally able to obtain a donor kidney which allowed him to start to have a normal and healthy lifestyle for a few years. As things finally started to get better, he was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that has now spread to his liver and other vital organs. He has been fighting this new battle for over a year, but with chemo and multiple extended stays in the hospital he hasn’t been able to provide his family with the resources that he was able to while healthy. He is a army vet, so all of his healthcare is covered, but with 2 children that he fully supports, and no additional help from family, he hasn’t been able to maintain the household expenses and will need a new place to live. He will be starting another round of aggressive chemo with radiation this week and will need to relocate to somewhere that is close to his treatment facility, have full time care, and provide for his children. We are hoping to raise money to help with the relocation expenses and care expenses but in addition to this if you have any options for housing, care givers, connection to any resources that maybe helpful please reach out.
