Michelle Galbo’s bright spirit, warm heart, and boundless love touched everyone who knew her. She was a woman who found joy in life’s magic — whether strolling down Main Street in Disney World with Mickey, Minnie, Pooh and Goofy, or getting lost in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. Her home was filled with the love of every pet she welcomed into her life, each one as cherished as the last.
She loved the sun on her face and the salt in the air — fishing on quiet mornings, walking along the beach, and even taking on the waves when she learned to surf. Her adventurous spirit was as contagious as her laughter. Michelle leaves behind her devoted husband of 32 years, Doug, who loved her fiercely.
Michelle dedicated over two decades of her career to Windstream, serving as a Sr Analyst since February 2000. Her supervisor stated, “Her passion for doing the right thing, making a difference and generally being a good human was exceptional.” Many of Michelle’s peers and coworkers admired her positive energy, calm demeanor, dedication, depth and breadth of knowledge and willingness to help.
Sadly, in early June, Michelle fell ill, and it was discovered she had lung cancer. Despite her strength and the care she received, complications from sepsis proved too great to overcome. On July 8, 2025, surrounded by family, Michelle left this world far too soon.
Her laughter, kindness, and zest for life will be missed beyond measure but remembered in every magical moment, every ocean breeze, and every act of love we share in her honor.
We are truly thankful for the love and support received. Thank you for helping us through this incredibly difficult time.
Michelle’s sudden passing has left us heartbroken. We are thankful for the the life insurance provided, but it cannot cover all the financial challenges now faced. If you would like to help support Michelle’s husband, Doug, with ongoing living expenses including housing, utilities, health insurance and continued care for their rescue pets (2 dogs and 1 cat), please consider contributing through the link below to the GoFundMe page.
Michelle, you are loved beyond words. Thank you for touching our lives so deeply and for blessing us with memories that will never fade.
