Ned Nishimura is the beneficiary of this fundraiser after Hurricane Lala caused devastating damage to his home that he has lived in since childhood. During the storm, the house floated approximately 30 feet off its foundation and into a neighbor’s property. The entire home flooded, and one bedroom wall was punctured by the neighboring garage. Because of the damage, the home is not safe to live in and currently has no running water or electricity. This has turned daily life upside down and left Ned facing overwhelming uncertainty as he figures out what comes next.
