Help Surf City local Ned avoid Homelessness

Ned is a 74 year old cancer survivor and 30+ year resident of Surf City, NJ. Ned has worked full time his entire life and he was a diligent employee that always took pride in his work. Ned has been unable to work due to his post treatment condition, which includes a breathing and feeding tube and currently survives on Social Security. Ned is able to care for himself and is in otherwise good health. He is losing his low income housing in November. I have exhausted all avenues to try and locate something he could afford in the Ocean County area, in order to keep him close to his doctors and care taker (me). We are on every waiting list locally but most are a year + long and Section 8 isn’t taking any application at this time. HUD has flatly ignored my calls and emails. I found a trailer in Pinewood Estates for 55k. Jetty Rock Foundation was kind enough to donate $10,000 as a down payment, however that is still not enough for me to secure lending on a mobile home, so we are turning to this amazing community for help. Help for an older gentleman that never missed a day of work, yet still can’t afford to live in his home. Thank you, Casey Courts Deacon
