Help Neal Get a Stem Cell Transplant to Fight Myelofibrosis
Hi, my name is Neal, and I’m 35 years old living with a rare blood cancer called Post Essential Thrombocythemia/Myelofibrosis caused by a mutation in my bone marrow. It’s progressive, painful, and eventually fatal without a stem cell transplant — my only chance at long-term survival.
I’ve fought hard through every stage: endless labs, four bone marrow biopsies, organ damage, fatigue, nerve pain, and more. My spleen is enlarged, my blood counts are failing, and my body is slowly losing its ability to produce healthy blood. Despite all this, I still get up every day to be a dad to my four daughters, the best I can.
Why I Need Your Help
A stem cell transplant offers me hope — but hope isn’t free. The costs we face are overwhelming:
* Travel and lodging to reach a transplant center. Gas especially. Car insurance for all the appointments after transplant.
* Testing and screening of potential donors.
*Lost income during the lengthy recovery. Kaila will not be able to claim her caregiver hours.
*Medical expenses not fully covered by insurance.
*Food, Bills
What Your Donation Supports
Every dollar helps ease the burden on my family. It allows us to focus on getting through transplant — together — without drowning in debt. It also helps us search for a donor match through "Be the Match" and other registries, something I’ve been actively promoting in my community.
I never imagined cancer would come for me this young. But it did. And now I’m asking for help — not just to survive, but to live long enough to walk my daughters down the aisle one day.
Thank you for reading, donating, or simply sharing this with someone who might be able to help. Every act of kindness matters more than I can say.
