For years, the Contra Dance at NC State student organization has been a vibrant, welcoming hub for the community, bringing the joy of contra dance right here to campus. This isn't just a dance; it's a living tradition that connects people of all ages and backgrounds through music, movement, and fun.

Our Mission: Our core mission is to keep the timeless tradition of contra dance alive and accessible to everyone. We host lively, community-wide monthly dances featuring fantastic live bands and experienced callers in beautiful on-campus venues. At our last event, the turnout was incredible—a true mix of NC State students and faculty, experienced dancers from the area, and curious community members who tried contra for the very first time!

The Need: Like many things, our club had to pause during Covid. Now, we're working hard to officially restart and rebuild the momentum we had for so many years! To continue hosting these dances—covering costs for booking musicians, securing venues, and promoting our events—we need your help to get back on our feet.
