Help Nazareth get his transcripts!
Hello, My name is Nazareth Bryant and I am a freshman at Northern Illinois University. Throughout my journey in playing football, I have been offered a number of different opportunities to go play for a collegiate team. But this process was very strenuous and straining for multiple different personnel reasons, along with offers falling through due to my ACT and SAT scores. I did not have the total guidance I needed and I was in a hard position trying to figure out which way to turn, and what would put me in the best position for success. At the beginning of 2020, I was offered a preferred walk on spot at Northern Illinois University, in hope that I’d receive a scholarship for my athletic performance. I began attending NIU on June 14th expecting to get started right away. With COVID-19 being heavy on college campuses, our practices, lifts, and in person communication was very limited as well as financial help which led to the delay of a full scholarship. In the month of August, I faced an injury which put a halt on my athletic performance. I quickly got evaluated by the athletic training staff, and found out that I had a torn hip labrum with hip impingement that required an immediate surgical procedure. Despite my 4.0 GPA, NIU did not give me much academic financial support, which led to me paying for my tuition and caring for myself. In effort to do this, I have already taken out student loans in my name and I would hate to have to go into more debt. Now that I am in physical therapy toregain my mobility and strength, I am in the process of transferring schools to further my athletic and academic career. With that being said, there is a hold on my NIU account, restricting me to receive my transcripts so that I am able to transfer schools. I currently owe $6000 dollars and I am in desperate need to have this debt paid so I am able to enroll in a different school this semester and continue my journey. I need this money to cover my NIU account by January 13th or sooner. I would appreciate any type of help! This was my last option and I did not want to have to do this. No donation is too big or too small. Thank you for reading, listening, donating, and sharing. Blessings to every person that has come along to this post.
