Anaise Hitchcock recently shared her experience publicly through a petition after being denied breast reduction surgery through the NHS. After hearing her story, our online community wanted to come together and help give her another option.

Anaise is 23 and has dealt with the physical and emotional effects of having an extremely large chest since she was 12. She currently wears a K cup and has shared that the size and weight of her chest cause significant pain and make physical activity difficult. She also lives with a physical disability, which can compound the pain and physical limitations she experiences.

After seeking breast reduction surgery through the NHS, Anaise was told that she would not be approved and should instead lose weight. As she explained in her petition, however, physical activity itself is difficult because of the size of her chest and her existing disability.

The impact goes beyond physical pain. Anaise has shared how difficult and expensive it can be to find bras that fit, how clothing that accommodates her chest often has to be several sizes larger than her waist, and how unwanted attention has affected the way she feels about her body.

Our goal is to raise enough money to give Anaise the opportunity to pursue breast reduction surgery privately and help cover the costs associated with getting the care she has been seeking.
