Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My 16-year-old sister, Naya, was passenger in a car accident that occurred on January 5th that nearly took her leg. She has now been in the hospital for three months. She is on track to go home next week (April 7th).
Naya has always been full of life. She is an incredible dancer and an avid skier. These activities were her passion, and now she is working towards walking and returning to the things she loves.
This journey has and will continue to be long and challenging. The road to recovery will require extensive rehabilitation, therapy, and emotional support. While Medicaid is helping cover hospital bills, many other expenses are piling up:
• Transportation to medical appointments and therapy sessions
• Home modifications to make our space accessible for her recovery
• Lost wages from family members taking time off to care for her
• Rehabilitation and therapy to regain mobility and strength
• Counseling to support her emotional healing after this traumatic event
• Medications, equipment, and other out-of-pocket medical expenses
We are asking for your support to help Naya get the care she needs and to allow our family to focus on being there for her. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in her recovery journey.
Naya is a fighter, and with your help, we can give her the best chance to dance, ski, and walk again. If you’re unable to donate, sharing this campaign with others would mean the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness and generosity during this difficult time.
With gratitude,
