Hi! My name is Gavyn Corchado, and I’m a 16-year-old student attending MMI Preparatory school and the founder of Nature’s Soldiers — a student led nonprofit dedicated to protecting the environment, one action at a time.
Ever since I was young, the beauty of nature has captivated me, from the trees lining my neighborhood to the vast forests across Pennsylvania. But I’ve also seen how easily that beauty can be lost through pollution, neglect, and underfunding. That’s why I started Nature’s Soldiers — to take a stand for our planet and inspire others to do the same.
This summer, I’m on a mission to raise $1,000 to support the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation, a group working hard to preserve the parks, forests, and trails that make our state so special. The funds will go toward conservation efforts such as:
- Tree planting
- Trail and habitat restoration
- Environmental education
- Clean-up supplies and volunteer support
Why This Matters
Our parks and forests aren’t just pretty — they provide clean air, protect wildlife, and bring peace to communities. I believe that through unity in protecting nature, peace will follow. Nature’s Soldiers stands for that message: when the community come together to protect our environment, we create a ripple of positive change that benefits everyone.
How You Can Help
Whether you donate $5 or $50, every contribution brings us closer to our goal. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to the Pennsylvania Parks and Forests Foundation. As part of this mission, I’ll also organize park cleanups and community events to raise awareness.
If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign means just as much. Let’s work together to protect the places we love.
Thank you for standing with me and for being a part of Nature’s Soldiers.
With gratitude,
Gavyn Corchado
