Help Natty March with the Blue Stars!

Hi! My name is Natty Trunko, and I am 19 years old from Copley, Ohio. Please help support me in achieving my goal of marching with the Blue Stars Color Guard!

Throughout my time at Copley High School, I fell deeply in love with color guard, participating in 8 seasons scholastically. In my junior year of high school, I volunteered to assist students in clinics to learn skills in preparation for auditions, and learned I love coaching! I volunteered again my senior year as the main director of a middle school program, helping choreograph and write a show for over 20 students.

Since graduating, I have continued with the activity, both as a performer and on staff. I have spent two seasons performing with Bluecoats' Rhythm IN BLUE, a season with Rangerettes IA, and am currently spending my winter with Collage IO. I also was on staff for Copley High School's outdoor color guard team for 2024, and currently help out with the JV and Varsity winter guards at Norton High School. I have loved every group I have spun with, but my ultimate dream is to march with a World Class Drum Corps, specifically the Blue Stars. That dream finally came to fruition, as I was offered membership after a recent audition!

Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is a drum corps based out of La Crosse, Wisconsin. Think marching band on steroids- 165 talented young musicians and performers from all around the country (and world!) come together over a summer to learn a competitive show, and spend over a month touring around the US performing. On this tour, I will be taught by many of the best educators in the activity, advance my skillset, and learn many valuable skills that will help me through life. Marching with the Blue Stars will also help me become a better educator to the students I work with, and being the best I can be for them is so important to me!

The fees this year are $6350, plus additional costs for things like a corps jacket. This covers my uniform, two and half months worth of meals and housing, a full summer of education, and travel to over 10 states! This cost is a lot for someone like me, who along with performing actively and coaching, is a full time college student pursuing two degrees. Donating would mean the world to me, so I can continue with the activity I love so much with my dream group! Thank you!
