Help Nat's Cats Fund a New Cat-Mobile!

Tax deductible

Hi to our fellow feline lovers,

Thank you all abundantly for the encouragement and support this past year. Our team has been able to help over 100 cats, from Trap Neuter Release projects, colony cat management, vet appointments, and pet rehabilitation. The list goes on. Nat's Cats is a busy organization, always with more work and another project to add to our list. A considerable part of what we do consists of driving. We can not set traps, retrieve traps, transport to and from clinics, set up adoptions or fosters, or do virtually anything without a reliable source of transportation. And just recently, well, our worst nightmare happened.

I’ve been driving an old 2004 Saab, a vehicle that is no longer manufactured, that can safely only hold maybe 4-5 cats. We’ve been making do with that. Unfortunately, while we were literally on our way to our first in-person adoption event, my front driver's side tire blew out on the highway. It was super scary, especially having four cats in the car with me. We were able to call AAA to save us, but unfortunately after the adoption event ended and I returned home, I found my car unable to start. Multiple wires under the tire were ripped during the blowout, which we noticed after we inspected the Saab. Our mechanic found some engine issues as well, which is likely also contributing to the car no longer starting.

Now, we are virtually car-less. The Saab will be extremely expensive to fix, as the parts are pricey and hard to come by. Our best option would be to find another safer, more reliable vehicle to serve as our organization's car. Our organization can not continue to keep up with our HIGH demand without a vehicle. A cat-mobile is an essential part of Nat's Cats, and without it, I’m stuck. I can’t trap, I can’t transport, and I can’t safely handle animals without a working and reliable vehicle.

When my tire blew, I asked you guys on my story what you thought about creating a “cat-mobile” fund, and it seemed like everyone who voted was super supportive of the idea. So now, I want to call to action to all of our amazing supporters, peers and fellow animal advocates. Please help us raise funds for a new vehicle to continue our TNR and Rescue endeavors.

I have created this GoFundMe to reach our goal, but you can also donate to us via Venmo (@natscatstnr) or on our website. On our website you will also find hand-crafted and cute cat and human gear available for purchase in support of our organization. If all of our followers right now granted $1, we would have MORE than enough to find a reliable and large enough sedan for the cats and us. Any amount helps. Please help us ensure our nonprofit goals are met and that we can continue doing what we love best!

Thank you,

Nat, The Team, and the Cats!

Mitzy, our newest rescue, says thank you!
