Help Native Woman Avoid Eviction

My sister Margaret received a letter in the mail a few days ago saying she has thirty days to pay her overdue rent, otherwise she will be evicted from her home of 4 years. She had been working and staying on top of her bills until early last year when a series of difficulties made it impossible to keep up. Now, we are asking for community support to help her pay off this overwhelming debt and start again.
Her financial struggles began when she got in an accident last year which left her car nonfunctioning for several months, which made her unable to maintain her normal work schedule and she lost all her income. As her debt accrued, she was overwhelmed by her anxiety and depression which made it difficult to get other work and recover. On top of that, this year she has been juggling caring for her former partner following his cancer recurrence and her own health problems leading to a surgery to remove her gallbladder in September.
After two difficult years, she is now able to look for work but needs help raising money to stay in her house so she can get back on her feet. Her current outstanding debt for rent is $5,609 and any money we receive will be used to pay off that debt. It’s always been hard for her to ask for help, but I know she’s exhausted, overwhelmed, and wants to return to a stable place in her life. Any amount of help would be greatly appreciated.
