Nathen Montez, a native of Carlsbad, New Mexico, has been recently diagnosed with Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM), which is located on his brain stem, and we hope to use this fundraiser to help with funds for his medical and travel expenses. Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM) is a devastating Grade 4 brain cancer that can result in death in six months or less, if untreated. Nathen had his first major brain surgery when he was brought to the hospital in Lubbock, TX, which doctors removed majority of the tumor, and started direct aggressive chemotherapy. He is now starting his chemo treatment and will have to monitor the tumor with treatment for the rest of his life. Because of the severity of the fast growth, it is hard to have diagnosed in time and the average survival time is 12-18 months… We have all our hopes and prayers that Nathen can beat the odds and survive this cancer. He is a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend and has all his loved ones in his corner to support him in this time of need.
