Dear Friends, Family, and Community,

We are reaching out to you today with heavy hearts to support Nathaniel Lyons, Jr., a bright and talented 17-year-old with a promising future ahead of him. Nathaniel, affectionately known as "Jr," was critically injured in a horrific hit-and-run crash in Escambia County on Sunday night. This tragic incident has left Jr. on a ventilator, fighting for his life with an uncertain and challenging road to recovery ahead.

Jr. is a senior at Pine Forest High School, where he excelled as a starting defensive back on the football team. Football wasn't just a game for Jr.—it was his passion, his dream, and his ticket to a brighter future. Many colleges had already shown interest in recruiting him, recognizing his incredible talent and dedication. Jr. had overcome unimaginable challenges before, having survived a severe car accident two years ago. His resilience and determination saw him through a grueling rehabilitation process, allowing him to return to the field stronger than ever for his senior year.

Unfortunately, fate has dealt Jr. another devastating blow. The driver responsible for the hit-and-run, Jose Selvin Lopez-Ayala, has been charged with DUI - Serious Bodily Injury, No Drivers License - Serious Bodily Injury, and Hit-and-Run - Serious Bodily Injury. He is currently being held with an additional hold for ICE.

As Jr. lies in the hospital, his family faces overwhelming emotional and financial burdens. Medical bills, ongoing care, and rehabilitation costs will be immense, and they need our support now more than ever. We are asking for your help to ease this burden so that Jr. and his family can focus on what matters most—his recovery.

Any donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference. Your generosity will help cover medical expenses, therapy, and any other support Jr. needs to regain his strength and health. We also ask that you keep Jr. and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support. Together, we can help Jr. fight his way back to the bright future he deserves.

With heartfelt gratitude,
