Nathaniel's Brave Battle: Conquer Medulloblastoma
Donation protected
Join the fight alongside Nathaniel as he courageously battles childhood brain cancer. Your donation can make a significant impact in providing the essential support he needs to navigate the challenges following his recent surgery.
Nathaniel, a spirited 10-year-old with a passion for cricket and racing, recently faced a health crisis initially thought to be an epileptic seizure on the 11th of January. However, a subsequent CT scan revealed a shocking apricot-sized brain tumor, leading to urgent brain surgery that removed most of the tumor. The diagnosis of childhood medulloblastoma, a fast-growing cancer affecting the brain, brain stem, and spine, was delivered on the 19th of January.
Recovery has been an uphill journey, marked by small but significant victories such as speaking his first word, improved mobility, and moments of independence. Despite these triumphs, a challenging road lies ahead, including radiation five days a week for six weeks, rehabilitation and months of chemotherapy.
Your support is crucial in alleviating the financial burden of transport costs on his support people, items that aid in his comfort and recovery, providing supplement drinks and outside hospital food to aid with pre-chemo weight gain, acquiring mobility and home care equipment (such as fixtures, aids and ramps), in home assessments, and funding private therapies like physio, occupational, and remedial therapy once he's home and finished his treatments.
A $20 donation can assist with petrol costs for hospital trips, and a $50 donation can contribute to acquiring more items, assessments and equipment. Every contribution, regardless of size, holds immense value for Nathaniel and his family. Your generosity can play a pivotal role in ensuring Nathaniel's journey towards recovery is supported with strength, resilience, and resources.
