My name is Nathaniel, and I am a transgender man. Every day, I experience severe gender dysphoria that makes even the simplest tasks, like showering or looking in the mirror, distressing. My chest is a constant source of discomfort, and Medicaid has refused to cover the cost of top surgery, due to Idaho law, which is the only way I can find relief.
Top surgery would revolutionize my life; It would allow me to hug my friends and partner without discomfort, sleep on my stomach without being reminded of my chest, and go shirtless when the weather is nice. I want to look in the mirror and finally see someone I recognize. Right now, I bind my chest every day, but it hurts and never looks right. I want to wake up without feeling dysphoria as my first emotion of the day.
I have saved as much as I can, but the hospital requires full payment upfront, and I still need help to cover the remaining cost. I am asking for your support. whether through a donation, sharing my fundraiser, or offering kind words. Every bit of encouragement brings me closer to a life where I can feel free in my own skin. Thank you for reading and for any support you can give.
