Help Nathan Simpson Recover From Ocular Surgery

We all know accidents happen, but some in fact are worse then others. On February 23rd, our long time and very close friend Nathan Simpson was accidentally shot in the eye with a pellet gun. The gun, to our knowledge was completely empty, but upon it being fired, it lodged 2 pellets from a Co2 powered revolver into his face. One going through his right eye and lodged in his septum, and one getting stuck in his cheek, This was the definition of a freak accident, but it’s affects after are the most troublesome. After being rushed the to ER and having trauma surgery on his eye and later getting the pellet from his cheek removed, and was stable for the time being. Nathan informed us from the  Information he gathered from seeing  cornea and retina specialist, the trauma  surgery went smoothly but he has something called Retina detachment. Retina detachment is when the eye pulls away from the supportive tissue which allows us all the privilege of vision. Nathan informed us that the specialist told him he had a 50/50 chance of ever being able to see out of his right eye at all. Because of the damage to ones optic nerve, both eyes could potentially be lost in something called Sympathetic Ophthalmia. Nathan has always been a dear friend to us and us as a group want to do our best to be able to help pay for this accident as best as we can, because we know he’d do the same for us. Surgery and doctors visits for Retina Detachment isn’t cheap though. Ranging from $7-10,000, this can be a costly procedure, so we are reaching out to family, friends, the general public, or anyone who understands what it’s like to be in any life changing position like this. We as a whole want to do the right thing and make sure our friend doesn’t have to pay a single dime out of pocket for the injury that unexpectedly happened to him. Any amount of a donation is greatly appreciated and goes directly towards Nathan and his family. We know Nathan would do this for anyone of Us, so it’s only right for us to do this for him.
