Update: Apollo is home. As of now, he can not walk. He requires a sling to hold his back end up to go potty, eat, drink. Requires PT 4x a day. And is on several meds. He can not walk, play, or jump. He is pretty much stuck resting for now. Hoping for the best.

Update 3: CT scan was inconclusive. Now they want to do an MRI which means a longer time under anesthesia, and another bill. Should know more within a couple hours on his condition.

Update 2: Apollo was seen by a neurologist. They are optimistic about his treatment. They are going to do a CT, and operate if they can. We had to pay $6750 today to even get him on the schedule for neurologist. Will owe another $3K-ish after the surgery, if everything goes well. Could be more if there are any issues.

My name is Nathan. I am a disabled veteran, and my PTSD service animal is my dog named Apollo. Today, he had an episode where he screamed and flipped around. This started a downhill spiral. We have already taken him to two different after-hours vets, spent about $1,000, and are on our way to a surgical specialist a couple of hours away. One of the discs in his back has slipped or moved to a position where it has paralyzed his back end. We were quoted up to $15,000 for the surgery he needs, plus whatever care and physical therapy he will need to recover. I can't lose him. He means everything to me. I will find the money somehow, but figured I would ask for help.
