Help Nathan on his Road to Recovery

Donation protected
Hi! Leigh here, Nathan’s mom. Our family doesn’t normally ask for help, we’re usually on the giving end of helping, but Nathan and his little family (girlfriend and young son) have had some trying times this year. As a lot of you know, Nathan was in a car wreck in South Carolina on Jan 11, 2025, and broke his right kneecap into several pieces. He had knee surgery Feb 22, 2025. Surgery went well and recovery, including physical therapy, was progressing as expected. But Nathan truly has a servants heart and was helping a family in need and accidentally fell and re-injured his knee. This caused him to require a second knee surgery. This surgery on April 30, 2025, left Nathan with just half a kneecap and the realization that he would never be able to do the work that he loved and dreamed of doing in the oil well industry. This surgery would require being in a full leg cast longer than the first surgery and weeks of physical therapy once again after the cast was removed. Still, Nathan pushed forward trying to complete therapy so he would be able to return to working to provide for his family.

On June 27, 2025, Nathan, while doing some yard work, lit a pile of brush that had gasoline on it and it exploded. He suffered 1st and 2nd degree burns to his face and neck, and 2nd degree burns to both of his arms and hands. He was intubated and treated at the ER and then airlifted to Jackson, MS, where he was admitted to the burn intensive care unit. He required surgery the next day for skin grafting to both arms and hands. He’s home now, but he has a long road of recovery ahead, including more trips to Jackson, wound care, and physical therapy not only for his knee but also to regain full movement of his hands and fingers.

We ask for you to keep Nathan and his family in your prayers first and most importantly, but if you feel it in your heart to help him financially and are able to, I know they would be most appreciative. We are also helping them as much as we can. If you choose to donate and help him, the donations will be used for medical expenses, bills, and daily needs for Nathan and his family. Because Nathan is burned and has skin grafts to his entire hands and fingers and both forearms, he is unable to do anything for himself and is unable to provide for his family at this time. Thank you in advance for any prayers and/or donations. With love- Leigh
