Nathan is a 12 year old boy that was diagnosed at age 11 with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma.  In September 2020 he was taken to Scottish Rite with complaints of leg pain and frequent recurring fevers. A tumor was discovered on his kidney and it was removed.  Pathology determined at this time that his diagnosis was indeed Neuroblastoma and he would need to begin chemo treatments as soon as possible. His team of doctors put together a treatment plan that would last 18 months.  Since his first round of treatment, Nathan has been in and out of the hospital for treatments, fevers etc. Nathan and his family have a LONG road ahead of them to defeat this cancer.  Insurance has started notifying them of some of his treatment that will not be covered. While there are alternatives to the medications that were denied, they are trying to balance everyday expenses with the expenses of long hospital stays and the constant back and forth between appointments. The family has 2 other sons as well and the whole family is making sacrifices as they band together to get through this tumultuous time.  Dad continues to work at home and mom has temporarily put her job on hold in order to care for Nathan.If you are able, please help this family cover expenses that are not covered by insurance.  They ask mostly that you keep their family and the plan for treatment, that is put together by an amazing team of doctors, in your prayers and that we pray that they find the right treatment to help Nathan fight this battle. #NathanStrong
