This sweet family, Nathan & Esther, with their two young boys, have a toxic mold crisis and they have had to abandon their home and their belongings.
Unfortunately, home insurance does not cover anything related to mold problems nor any of the remediation.
We are Jeff & Diane (parents) and Ryan & Katie (brother & sister-in-law), asking for you to consider helping Nathan & Esther who are struggling with many health and financial issues due to MOLD TOXICITY and having been forced to evacuate their home because of high levels of mycotoxins. The mold in their house went undetected for several years.
We are reaching out to our community to support and bless them during this challenging time. Just like in the case of a house fire, the family mourns the loss of their earthly possessions, and the community comes together to love on them and provide support. However, in this instance, there is no insurance for their total loss to get their home and belongings restored and they have had minimal community support. Let's be their caring community and build them up.
The exposure to mycotoxins occurred through inhalation as the mold was disturbed and dispersed into the air. The children experienced frequent night waking, vomiting, coughing, fevers, and unidentified skin rashes. There were also signs of lowered cognitive function, such as in the case of the youngest, who had begun learning to talk, but could no longer put his thoughts into words. The older brother’s teacher mentioned that he was regressing in his learning ability. The entire family suffered from symptoms like persistent coughs, memory problems, fatigue, abdominal pain, severe headaches, joint and muscle aches, and sleeping problems.
After multiple doctor visits, a local air quality mold testing company found extremely high mycotoxin levels in their home. The test results showed hazardous levels of mycotoxins (above 300 is considered hazardous), with the master bedroom at 37,000 and the family sunroom at 18,000.
They were advised to immediately evacuate their home and belongings for their safety. Nathan’s parents took them in, and they began their journey of detoxing and healing. Within a few weeks they all began to show signs of improvement.
The financial strain is overwhelming due to ongoing medical costs as well as the requirements to relocate to a new home and replace all their belongings.
Esther also discovered that she has two genetic variants of MTHFR, which makes her and the youngest child, who displays very similar symptoms, more susceptible to severe reactions to even fairly small amounts of mycotoxins. They will need special products and supplements for a considerable length of time to detox and heal. Due to the high health risks associated with this genetic variant, the family must move to a new home, setting up from scratch, and remediate their old home before they can sell it.
We ask for your help to support Nathan & Esther during this difficult time. They have a strong faith in God and they know that He will carry them through this hardship.
