Help Nathan Beat Cancer and Stay in School!

Hi! I’m Nathan and I am currently fighting stage 2 non-Hodgkin B-Cell Lymphoma.

I beat cancer when I was 24, but I am 26 now and it decided to come back. I am determined to beat it again and have recently started chemo (November 2021).

Before the cancer came back, I was self-employed as a wedding officiant/coordinator and working full time on a PhD in school psychology.

Since starting chemo, I am no longer able to keep up my business, meaning I have lost my income.

My school (Fordham University) has been great about helping me stay on track with my PhD, but it is getting increasingly hard to keep up with my studies as I get further into treatment.

My friends and family have been wonderful blessings by helping me however they can, but I live alone and all the living expenses fall solely on me. If I become unable to make ends meet during my cancer treatment, I would likely have to withdraw from school and relocate in the middle of my treatment, which would certainly devastate me.

With the added medical costs (insurance covers much of it, but not all), total loss of income, and continued burden (financial, physical, and mental) of full-time doctoral work, I find it necessary to ask for help.
