Hi. This is a fundraiser for our good friend Nathan Stanton. For several years he’s been part of a covenant group with us (Michael Tomson-Degreef, Jeff Clinger, Barry Dundas, Paul Wilke, and Mitch Todd). We call our covenant group the “Mostly Holy Club” (It’s a John Wesley joke). We decided we wanted to do something to help our friend.
Nathan has ALS, and it’s taken a toll on his life and his family. Nathan is a United Methodist Pastor, a husband, father, athlete, and friend. On July 1, 2022, Nathan will go on disability after serving as the Director of Congregational Excellence for the Great Plains Conference. His ideas and vision for our conference have helped to spin off new churches and ministries across Kansas and Nebraska.
The costs of his treatment are enormous, as is the financial burden placed upon the whole family. We want to support him the best that we can, and our hope is that others who love the Stantons will jump in and give as they see fit.
Each member of the Mostly Holy Club has pledged at least $250 in support for Nathan's family, and we invite you to give whatever you can. This is an opportunity for churches and colleagues in the Great Plains UMC Conference and beyond to show their appreciation and support for Nathan's leadership in the church.
If we can find 400 people/churches who will give $250 we can raise $100,000. We think that is a doable goal.
We love you Nathan!
The Mostly Holy Club.
