As many of you know, this first year in Chicago has been a major financial struggle with Abbey’s cancer diagnosis and being involved in a hit & run while riding my bike, requiring reconstructive surgery on my dominant hand.

With these financial demands, it has completely wiped out any savings I had, and I accrued quite a bit of medical/credit card debt after the accident, being that I was out of work for a month and paying out of pocket for many aspects of the surgery/recovery. The police were zero help, and I have an attorney trying to help me, at their cost, unless I receive something. No positive updates as of yet.

I was really hoping I wouldn’t have to do this, but I just started a new job today and my car broke down on Saturday. It’s a commission job where I need my vehicle, so I saved to cover my expenses until I start making money, but did not budget for a major car breakdown. I received the estimates from the mechanic, and it’ll be quite a lot to get my vehicle roadworthy/safe again.

Truly, any penny will be so extremely appreciated! I have been asked by friends/followers to make this and I am swallowing my pride, because sometimes we need help. Thank you so much!
