Help Nate Mahi w/ work injury that severed hand

Donation protected
Nate Mahi and his wife Keltsey Hess Mahi (my cousin) were married a few months ago in August 2019.  They delayed their honeymoon due to school and were set to go in a few weeks, but all of that traumatically changed two days ago.

Nate is almost finished with school to get his pharmacy assistant certification and his future plan was to walk onto a football program at a university.  Now it's looking like those plans will be put on hold.

On Monday, January 6th, 2020, Nate had an accident at work that ended up amputating almost his entire right hand, leaving only the little finger.  His other fingers and all the way down to his wrist were amputated by this workplace accident.

Nate was lifeflighted from St. George, UT to Las Vegas where he has undergone one surgery already and has been in the ICU as they attempted to reattach his missing hand and fingers.  This is an ongoing process, with several more surgeries over the next six months.  There is no guarantee right now that he will be able to recover the use of his hand, and he will face a long road of recovery even after the many upcoming surgeries.

While his medical expenses will be covered by his work, he and Keltsey will have some big financial difficulties in the upcoming months.  Since Nate will need to remain in Las Vegas for several months for the surgeries, Keltsey has had to leave her job for an unknown amount of time and go there to provide support.  In addition to car payments and regular bills, they will need to pay for food and look for lodging as he has his in- and out-patient surgeries and rehab.

With so many stresses going on, and Keltsey not able to continue working since she wants to be in the same place as her husband to provide support, I wanted to set up this fund as a way to help ease her burdens so she can focus on her husband.

Anything you can help with would go a long way to provide relief during what should be a joyous time for this young newlywed couple.
