Yesterday, tragedy struck when a fire broke out at the home of my friend Natasha Chavez’s mom and younger siblings. The fire completely destroyed most of their home — including all of the bedrooms — leaving the family without a safe place to stay and with very few belongings left.

Right now, they are in desperate need of help while they fight through insurance delays and figure out the next steps. Donations will go toward temporary housing, clothing, food, basic necessities, and home repairs once it’s safe to rebuild. We are hoping to raise $30,000 to help them get back on their feet, but truly, any amount — big or small — will make a difference and is deeply appreciated.
