This is Natasha. She's is 15 years old and is currently fighting for her life with Kidney Disease.
She was adopted from the shelter at 6 as a street cat that was found. No microchip and no information about her past life, but she clearly had issues with other cats. I can't forget the moment when we first found her at the shelter, she had the most sinister "killer" gaze looking out the glass window and that's would attracted me to her (on top of the Star Trek like symbol on her face). We (an SO at the time) adopted her that same day in July of 2016.
However, the time she's been with me has been the most joyous and she's been the biggest sweetheart of a cat that I've ever known. She's a cat that'll snuggle with you while you sleep and even prefer to sleep under the blanket with you vs on top. She crazes affection and touch. Her form of affection was headbutting you on your head. We named her Natasha "Killer" Butts, and the name stook cause she'd also just lay on top of our faces.
Natasha means so much to me as she was there when I didn't know I need her. Times when I thought I should just nope rope it, but she was there looking at me and she became my comfort when I needed it. She saved me many times.
Natasha's health has declined over the past few months. I began needing to feed her by hand with a modified syringe with wet food and that seemed to help her a great deal, but then her weight started to not hold.
After taking her to the vet Monday, Aug 4th, I was told that she had kidney disease and low red cell blood count.
At the moment Natasha is at Scottsdale Vet Clinic for 3 days to stabilize her and stimulate red cell growth, with the potential blood transfusion. At least, that's the plan.
Currently the bill we're seeing unless something else comes up is a range from 5400 - 9500. Insurance is refusing to cover anything as they deem it a "pre-existing issue"...
Donations will be used to pay all bills for her care because even 5k right now is a lot to handle. If anything doesn't get used, will be refunded in best way possible or donated to a charity in Natasha's name.
Any help would be so kind. She's my baby and she means the world to me. ;--;
I'll be sure to post updates as days progress. Thank you, again.
