Help Natasha, Chad & Kids After Traumatic Home Invasion
Donation protected
Hello, I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my close friend since childhood, Natasha Iverson, her Fiancé Chad Gallagher, and kids, with their consent.
In the early evening of Wednesday, April 10th, Natasha was at home with one of her 16 year old twin daughters and her 2 year old son, when a nightmare scenario unfolded. Little did they know their normal Wednesday evening family routine would end with their home of six years as a crime scene, with a suspect deceased inside their home. While they are physically safe, they have been traumatized by the events that took place in their home. Home is supposed to be a safe place, a shelter from the cruel world. A criminal has taken that sense of security away from Natasha, Chad, and the children. Where there was once family dinners, there is now a powdery film left from chemical agents being deployed. Where there was once sleepovers, there are now bullet hole ridden walls. Where there was once security, there is now trauma.
I'd like to raise funds to help the family through this turbulent time, as they face so many unknown challenges. They are currently not allowed back in their home until the crime scene has been fully processed. While they have been put up in a hotel and with family and friends, for the time being, they literally have only the clothes they wore out of the house yesterday. They left everything behind when the SWAT team got them safely out. The funds will be used for the cost of living during this transition time. Food, clothes, toothbrushes, shampoo, etc... And lastly, medical bills. And if you're confused, because you read correctly that they were not physically injured, mental healthcare is healthcare that is going to be so important for this family, especially the children who witnessed the events unfold. This kind of trauma will require mental healthcare help immediately, and ongoing.
Stoughton is an amazing community. Natasha and her family have been a part of this community for her entire life. Natasha grew up here, is raising her children here, has built her dog grooming and boarding business here. Let's wrap this family in love as they try to recover from this traumatic experience. Let's show them that a small town holds big love. Let's show them that GOOD always prevails over evil.
